We’re proud to use 100% recycled bottles, made from Prevented Ocean Plastic.

Here at Grangers, we’re always looking for ways to reduce our carbon footprint and plastic waste, this is why we made the change to use 100% recycled, Prevented Ocean Plastic bottles.

Plastic in our oceans and on our beach is a severe problem and for us at Grangers we wanted to be able to support to be part of a solution. By working with Prevented Ocean Plastic, we can help to ensure that plastic never reaches the water. They help to prevent over 1000 tonnes of plastic from entering the ocean every month.

The team carefully collect, hand sort, clean and process this plastic waste resulting in a uniquely high-quality material that we can reuse instead of it ending up in our oceans, on our beaches or in landfill.

Our 100% recycled bottles are made from Post Consumer Recycled (PCR) plastic. Post-Consumer Recycled (PCR) resin is recycled plastic made from items such as plastic drinks bottles.

As well as 100% recycled, PCR continues to be 100% recyclable too, meaning that the environmental impact of raw material usage and the manufacturing processes used to make plastic are significantly lessened. It takes about 60% less energy to produce PCR bottles than virgin plastic.

Through reusing and also refilling, we’re all helping to work together to extend the life of plastic, minimise its impact, and equally lessen our carbon footprint. #inthistogether
